Daily schedule

6:00 – Wake-up
6:30-6:50 – Meditation
7:00-8:45 – Yoga class (Asana, Meditation, Pranayama, Mantra and Relaxation)
9:00-9:30 – Fire puja
9:30-10:00 – Breakfast
10:10-12:30 – Philosophy discussion
12:40-13:30 – Techniques class (Asanas, Assisting, Adjustments, Benefits, Pre-cautions)
13:30-3:00 – Lunch
3:00-4:00 – Methodology, Anatomy and Ethics discussion
4:15-6:00 – Techniques and Practicums
6:00-7:00 – Dinner
7:00-8:00 – Kirtan and Transformational Experience
8:00-10:00 – Personal, Studying or Journaling time
9:00 – Silence begins and held until end of breakfast next morning
10:00 – Lights out

On weekends, We will have time to explore the local cultural and spiritual sites.

 Syllabus of Study for 200 Hours:

  • Yogic Mudras
  • Pranayama (Breathing Techniques), Bandhas (Yogic Locks)
  • Method, Principle, Sequencing, Adjusting, Benefits and Pre-cautions of Yoga Postures
  • Teaching Methodology of different styles of Yoga – Patanjali Ashtanga, Traditional and Classical Hatha, Vinyasa, Shivananda, etc.
  • Minimum 3 Yogic Shatkarmas/Kriyaa (Cleansing Techniques)
  • Learning to teach yoga classes for Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced level students
  • Study of Human Anatomy and Physiology
  • Physical, Mental and Spiritual benefits of yoga
  • Minimum 7 diseases, with symptoms, factors and yogic and ayurvedic treatment
  • Basic Ayurveda – Nutrition and the Yogic Diet
  • Kundalini, Chakras and Nadis
  • Minimum 6 Mantras (for Chanting and Meditation)
  • Yoga Philosophy (Eight limbs of Ashtanga-Yoga) with Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras (minimum 15 Sutras)
  • Yogic lifestyle
  • Teaching practicum
  • Ethics for Yoga Teachers
